It is with great pleasure that we are bringing out the Second Edition of "Sri Dakshinamurti Stotram". The Volume I of the first edition was released in the year 1988 by His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Swaminah. The Volume 2 was subsequently released in 1990 by His Holiness Sri Bharati Tirtha Swaminah. Over the years we have witnessed a growing demand for this important work on Advaita and therefore decided to bring out a Second Edition of the two volumes. The Volume I and Volume, II of this monumental book is being reprinted by the Sringeri Sharada Peetham after nearly two decades to cater to the needs of students of Vedanta. Sri Dakshinamurthi stotram consisting of ten slokas is a well-known work of Sri Adi Shankaracharya, the furthermost proponent of Advaita (non-dualism). This work summarizes in a grand and pellucid style the philosophy of Vedanta and the unfailing means leading to the direct realization of the Ultimate Truth. Needless to mention, a study of this work is obligatory for all students of Vedanta.
